Corona Update: Night Curfew in Bhopal and Indore of Madhya Pradesh from Tomorrow: Extended Till 31 March

The number of Coronavirus cases in the country is growing. Coronavirus is now spreading its wings in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, following Maharashtra. Due to the rapid increase in cases, it has been agreed to enforce a night curfew in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal and Indore starting Wednesday. Markets in Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Ratlam, Chhindwara, Burhanpur, Betul, and Khargone will be closed after 10 p.m. There will be no curfew in these cities, but traders will be forced to essentially close the market.

At the same time, the night curfew in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot has been extended until March 31. Although there was already a night curfew in place in these Gujarat cities, it was only in effect from 12 AM to 6 AM.

In the meantime, new coronavirus cases have been reported in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Haryana. Just 21 of these 21 cases, according to the Health Ministry, were reported in these eight states. This represents 86.39% of all new cases reported in the country in the last 24 hours.

24,437 Positives Received

More than 20,000 corona-infected people have been reported in the country once again. On Monday, 24,437 patients reported being positive, with 2018,6 recovered and 130 death. As a result, the number of active cases, i.e, patients undergoing treatment, increased by 4,104. In the last 15 days, 2,97,539 new patients have been reported. A total of 241063 patients have been cured, while 1,698 have died.

So far, 14 million people were infected by the pandemic. A total of 1,10,25,631 have been cured. 158892 people have died, while 220401 are being treated. These figures were obtained from the website covid19india.org.

Coronavirus Latest Updates

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak with the Chief Minister to address the corona-created conditions and vaccination in the states. This meeting will be held via video conferencing. Meanwhile, due to an increase in infection in some states, the Center has increased vaccination efforts.

The Maharashtra government imposed new restrictions before the end of March 31. This will result in the opening of theatres, shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants with a 50% capacity. People who do not wear a mask will be denied entry to the first people.

In Maharashtra, social, cultural, political, and religious gatherings will be prohibited. Those that violate the rules will face fines. The wedding will be open to just 50 people. When more people come, the organizer can take action under the Disaster Act.
