The popular social networking platform informed creators and public figures of the significant change in the experience of the Facebook page.
New changes in the Facebook page include a new look-and-feel, updated navigation, the launch of a dedicated news feed, a new fan interaction Q&A format, and other tools and insights.
Facebook Like Button Vanished
It is interesting here that the “Like” button will do away with the news redesign.
The Facebook app now focuses on followers. This will be the direct measure of how many people meet the page currently.
Latest Changes Rollout
According to Facebook, the latest experience will officially begin to roll out across all Facebook pages in the months ahead.
One of the biggest changes in the current version of the page is that it removes “Likes.”
Disappearance Of Like Button
The decision to remove the like button is made as Likes misrepresented the true popularity of a page.
The Facebook users had once “liked” a page, but afterworld unfollowed the page to exclude its updates from their News Feed as their interest was outgrown.
In some instances, they had a “Liked” page as a favor to a friend, but afterworld refused to receive a request.
Significance Of Followers Button
Now, a metric at the forefront of the new experience will be the Followers of a Page.
It is a clearer indicator of how many people are fans and receive updates from the page, according to Facebook.
The other major change is that pages get their news feed. With this implementation, the Page itself can take part in conversations as a public figure or brand, follow trends, and interact with their fans.
Besides, Facebook has many big changes and a few backend updates aimed at those who run Facebook pages. It has updated its ability to detect and filter “hate speech comments, spamming content, violent, sexual, impersonator accounts, and phishing.”
Users liked the new, more simplified user interface after using the tests.
They also liked the ease of switching between their public and private profiles and Pages, as well as better ways to engage fans. The updated pages will be rolled out in the “coming months” according to Facebook.
